I'm eating a nice hunk of White Cabbage now. A little spicy. Juicy water. Clearing out my sinuses making it easier to breathe.
Yuuummy. Sometimes food feels just right?
That you are perfectly nourishing your body! Just brings you to the present Mind. The ahhh here I am at the meeting point of Universe feeding Universe
So much went into making this moment possible
And I can be simple.

"Purslane contains more Omega-3 fatty acids (alpha-linolenic acid in particular) than any other leafy vegetable plant. Simopoulos states that Purslane has .01 mg/g of EPA. This is an extraordinary amount of EPA for land based vegetable sources. EPA is an Omega-3 fatty acid normally found mostly in fish and some algae. It also contains vitamins (mainly vitamin C, and some vitamin B and carotenoids), as well as dietary minerals, such as magnesium, calcium, potassium and iron. Also present are two types of betalain alkaloid pigments, the reddish betacyanins (visible in the coloration of the stems) and the yellow betaxanthins (noticeable in the flowers and in the slight yellowish cast of the leaves). Both of these pigment types are potent antioxidants and have been found to have antimutagenic properties in laboratory studies.
100 grams of fresh purslane leaves (about 1 cup) contain 300 to 400 mg of alpha-linolenic acid. One cup of cooked leaves contains 90 mg of calcium, 561 mg of potassium, and more than 2,000 IUs of vitamin A."
This plant grows like wildfire! I'm so glad I found it here! I'm not a huge fan of its taste on its own, but its super filling and healthy.
- Purslane (as much as you want because it's one of the healthiest things ever apparently)
- Lemon or Lime
- Olive Oil or MAYBE FLAX OIL YUM YUM YUM OMEGA EXPLOSION

______ _________ ________.
I write quite a bit and do much "commentary" and feel that I do not need constant mental chattering.
- Eating optimally is a learning process for me
- To determine the proper amount of food, proper breathing, and the effect of the food on my body - takes Awareness.
- Eating in Silence can be a gentle Mindfulness Meditation - here is Universe feeding Universe
- People that feel the need for constant conversation are typical un-aware of the Joys of Solitude. The deep oneness of source. New-age buzzwords and so forth. This is no joke though. Notice whether the expressions of people who pretend to need constant conversation are expressions of joy or are some kind of subconscious seeking.
- Food is yummier when I give it my full attention
- It takes attention to improve eating habits.
- You may feel more comfortable making eating noises LIKE YUM YUM YUMMMMMM

Wanting to make Kim Chi and not having my standby ingredients I decided to look into table salt again. My mom had brought some "Lo Salt" - Reduced Sodium Salt Alternative from my Grandmother's house and I thought maybe I'll use it for the Kim Chi.
The ingredients are 66% Potassium Chloride and 33% Sodium Chloride
I search google and as usual wikipedia comes up.
"metal halide salt composed of potassium and chlorine. In its pure state it is odorless. It has a white or colorless vitreous crystal, with a crystal structure that cleaves easily in three directions. Potassium chloride crystals are face-centered cubic."
Lum dee dum dee dum... and then "used in medicine, scientific applications, food processing and in judicial EXECUTION through LETHAL INJECTION"
"Orally it is toxic in excess; the LD50 is around 2500 milligram/kg (meaning that a person weighing 75 kg (165 lb) would have to consume about 190 g (6.7 ounces) which equivalent to 38 tea spoons; table salt is about as toxic). Intravenously this is reduced to just over 100 mg/kg but of more concern are its severe effects on cardiac muscles; high doses can cause cardiac arrest and rapid death. A massive overdose of intravenous potassium chloride is used to stop the heart in capital punishment by lethal injection."
Obviously you are not eating a half pound of salt... though it's quite interesting that the intravenous amount to kill a person is 100 mg/kg = 1/25 of the oral toxicity
I weigh around 65kg - so 6.5 grams of intravenous salt would kill me? Wow.
In this article http://people.howstuffworks.com/lethal-injection4.htm,
of the three chemicals used in execution...
Potassium chloride is the listed toxic agent.
And as you read earlier in the article - table salt is about as toxic.
It lists several conditions that may occur if you don't get enough salt. I'm not sure if those conditions arise simply from not eating table salt. I imagine that many people have lived long lives without mining salt or being near an ocean. Perhaps they were getting trace minerals from the dirt they were in and from eating grasses and shrubs and what being in the soil.
"Concerns have been raised regarding the possible toxic effects of aluminium in the latter two compounds; however, both the European Union and the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) permit their use. The refined salt is then ready for packing and distribution."
That the EU and FDA permit use of aluminium in salt does not make them desirable for consumption.
I am not aware of any legislation that says it's illegal to feed a baby a diet of french fries and ketchup. After all, according to USDA.gov french fries and ketchup ARE Vegetables.
This video's a little long but it shows a "game" from the USDA's website and shows what kind of food recommendations they make and what they'd like to feed your children.
Later in the wiki article, lists of high salt related dis-eases are listed, and it is mentioned that salt has long been used for suicide in China. :) In the potassium chloride article it mentioned Dr. Kevorkian's use of potassium chloride in his suicide machine. Neat !
hmm. i wonder how much salt is consumed in those hot dog eating competitions.
some genius ate 66 hot dogs. I'm guessing that's around 35grams or more of salt. I'd look it up but i think we all know that hot dogs are not health food. They're soul food.
we've got a lot to learn.
Update, after some more reading I'm seeing that a minimum amount of salt is not listed. I don't see where there's a minimum amount of sodium chloride. Sodium's listed as an essential nutrient, but not sodium chloride.
Post your thoughts feelings experiences. How much sodium chloride does a person really need? and does they have to get it from some manufactured source?
I think not because for much of our history - no manufactured source! Which animals consume refined salt?

I may be here to stay!!!!!
Anyhow just a little update. The organic-ness is fluctuating. The ideal of course is to eat healthiest food, though eating healthy food ought not be my prime directive.
The ideal? To be the best I can be for the Best Purposes.
I'd like to spend little time, eating gratefully, good for me, good for the environment.
I've found more raw things to eat so I'm happy I can expand my diet
I've got mung bean sprouts now!
- wash them, b/c they are frequently dried on chinese roads (really!)
- soak them for a couple hours
- drain and wash again
- leave as is for around 8-12 hours
- leave out of sunlight
- wash and drain again
- eat when you want to!

Had diarrhea and hands trembled from sugar
Ate better than "typical food" too
Lots of salad and fresh vegetables some organic
The bad: falafel (tasty though not too special)
The thing I can realize yes deep fried whatever may have some flavor experience.
There are other higher experiences. Much Higher.
It's a matter of re-membering that.
I think meditation practice can come into play in this where every day I feel the deep Peace.
Also found some Great Chinese Medicine Books. I will bring the info here soon. And at Isforbliss.com

1/3 cup mung sprouts
4 small carobs
2 tbspoon flax with a fifth of a carrot and some dulse, paprika, sea vegetable, and kummel
10 pecan halves
2 brazil nuts
very delicious. perhaps excessive. I like the eating fat at night thing - satisfaction.
Eating the carobs with pecans tasted Yum!
I didn't eat till 5pm as I was working on isforbliss.com and felt that food does not feel very appropriate to my organism. I do not know yet if it's best to really wait for the stomach to tell me it's eating time. I will continue to learn.
12,6,10,6 pull ups
and 6 mini pumps pull ups
palms together above my head high as possible - 20 breaths - very good - more later
swinging my arms around holding them high
a bit of walking
"Fruit is the ideal food for spiritual reasons also, as eating fruit is a symbiosis with plants; it does not harm them and helps spread their seeds. "
find more greens, avoid eating with family, set intention for peace with safta and all I meet
more exercise! after dream work and meditation - running maybe chin ups

It was quite nice being away. I am very happy with this online interface! Woopeee Doopee Dooooo!
Given that there are little to no organic food items for sale at the Kibbutz store and I have no ride, I have been foraging.
Quite successfully I might add.
There are loads of carobs and something called "ridgleih" I'll try to find the english name. It's quite filling and apparently has lots of omega 3. I have been eating some Ants as I hear they have the beautiful B12. Tomorrow I will do more exploring and find more to eat.
I've been working on minimizing my "pleasure" distraction eating. perhaps better to say I'm working on eating for sustenance and energy, living in bliss, and not seeking "pleasure" and "stimulation" because I already have what I need and will get better results anyway by doing good works.
Also good works certainly serve my body as well.
There's a website with a listing of local foods to eat
I have misplaced the link though here's another good one though
Wow I'm so happy. Tears of joy!
It may be a while before I get pictures and recipes. So be patient or please comment and ask what you'd like me to look into.
Thanks so much
Have a Transcendently Healthy Day
oh one more thing. I will avoid eating with other people because of the difficulty in seeing people eat pesticides and repeatedly offer me foods I wish to avoid

Some non-organic stuff. Basmati rice. Lots of bread butter ricotta cheese. Very tasty a bit like a drug whirlwind though. When I look back on it I blank a bit. It would be good for me to look back more on my good days so that I appreciate them more. Maybe I bored myself with the raw fruits veggies and nuts. Refining purpose. Eat to live/live to eat. Return to Calling. And necessary pursuit of impossibles.
I allowed my intuition to suggest some actions. Laughing, I actually bought an ice cream cone I had not done that in many days. I ate some of it and threw it away happily. Nice to shake up patterns - not labelling behavior "I am doing this therefor I am doing this"
No lables. Follow the Flow

So the question is how much salt do you need and in what form?
Suggests quite interesting things about g-d
weird. i meant to type "salt" and was distracted by conversation and wrote "g-d". also a roommate plays stairway to heaven in the background.

I ate a large cucumber for breakfast
and a good deal of sprouted hemp seeds with a tbspoon of honey.
I ate a small melon which was one of the most amazing melons I've ever had
and I'm so grateful I waited several days and allowed it to ripen
The way I tell a melon is ready? By gently pushing on the "top" and seeing if it gives.
I ate a banana
And a braeburn apple
three small prunes
a brazil nut
two small dried mango pieces
big raw broccoli
All raw today! All vegan other than tablespoon of honey which was certainly unnecessary!
I thanked the Universe for the Cuke. And am now thanking U for the rest of it! Thanks!
I expect another lucid dream!
I'm also reminding myself of how much joy I get from creating content and learning and meditating so that I do not think about eating food as some kind of entertainment. It's possible that I had also been eating when in fact I was thirsty
frozen banana (very hot day)
tiny bit of hempseed
fresh herb tea
bread butter (hadn't finished the loaf yet :)
dulse, tomato, cucumber salad
oats muesli w/honey
not very much water
again stopped eating fairly late 12:45 am - went to bed around 4am tho
And had a lucid dream!
bread (yeastless, whole grain, no bs) olive oil
tomatoes w/some spices I added
salad - dulse carrot tomato pepper(bell) olive oil cayenne kummel turmeric himalayan salt sesame - salad can be seen here
bread (same as earlier but with flax) w/goat bleu (I developed the pimple the morning after and when I tried to eat some of the cheese felt un-great - just briefly though!)
I also ceased eating relatively late (around 2.5 hours before sleeping as opposed to the 4 I've seen suggested)
Like writing dreams down has been instrumental in attaining lucidity, keeping a food log is instrumental to learning about the food energy. I encourage you to do this and write down what you eat "good" or "bad"
chard - steamed <5min
broccoli - some raw, some steamed ,<5 min
small dried mango bits
1/4 cup of a mango smoothie
2 brazil nuts
6 dates 2 of them quite large
red bell pepper
olive oil, cayenne
with yeastless whole-grain bread (no sugar added - that means no "malted barley" no "rice flour" no random things)
bleu goat cheese - quite delicious and quite a bit of it. the day after a pimple appeared at the corner of my lip which I perhaps arbitrarily attribute to the cheese
dill. yum. dill
sauerkraut, cucumber, tomato, sea kelp
bread butter garlic olive oil
I stopped eating very late at night around 1 am. And went to bed around 3am.
As you can see, quite a delicious day, though not ideal nutritionally. I had purchased a loaf of bread and felt "desirous" of it. This also has to do with not having a schedule made. Had I a schedule I would not wander off to the kitchen. I feel that having Purpose makes great choices arrive gently. By posting my daily food I make myself more accountable for eating right-er.
I have been eating more simply. Very much enjoying the produce for what it is standing alone. You don't need to make a single recipe and can have a fantastic food experience.
Fantastic food experience? What are your aims in food consumption? Please comment.
More to come soon.

- There are many ways to minimize the wastes associated with food.
- "factory" farmed foods create great waste; the foods are lower in quality and use poisons that destroy soil, water, and air.
- foods purchased from other continents use a lot of energy! I heard my Uncle, a petroleum engineer, describe how many calories it takes in the process of getting an organic banana (that comes from thousands of miles away!) So....
- Eat Local! Eat Seasonal! Local and Seasonal produce tends to be less expensive on the pocketbook and on the eco-footprint.
- Eat Really Local = Find Food Growing Near You.
- Learn about "wild" food. Edible herbs grasses fruits vegetables. The world of food surrounds you!
- Eat appropriate portions of nutrient dense food.
- Chew thoroughly
- Minimize Stress
- Chew Thoroughly
- Chew Thoroughly
- Write down what you eat
- Write down your food goals
- Avoid "desirous" food
- Eat things for nutrition not "entertainment"
- Fresh Fruits and Vegetables require little to no packaging!
- Check out a CSA - Community Supported Agriculture in your area
- Plant something! You can plant anywhere!
- Seems like a good enough start!
- Leave comments with more tips!
- Thanks so much!
